Exclamation HDMI 1.3 receivers/processors

I was wondering if we could start a little list of 1.3 receivers. Brand, model, MSRP number of HDMI I/O's etc. I know Onkyo has a few so I'll just start there. Only because they're on my radar. If people submit model numbers, I'll add them to the first post.

Note it does not appear these units will have the advanced audio codecs like DD Plus or True HD or DTS Master but will just accept PCM through the HDMI input. Shane has found info that seems to indicate this will be an upgrade that can be added the 1st quarter of 08.

OK Denon's web site added the 4308 CI today and Onkyo's web site add the 905 today.

I have turned the model numbers into links the manufacturer's web site for that model if one is currently existing. Denon still does not have one on the 3808 yet but I am guessing the 4308 is about to ship now. It might be time to buy.

Are there any stand-alone pre-processors with HDMI 1.3?

Added Integra Research (Onkyo Higher end stuff) with their pre/pro and their receiver as well.

I hope I did not go overboard with the thread? I tried to make it so it was easy to look over the units and use links to get to more in depth info quickly if the interest struck you.

Any one got some more info yet?

So, one thing I haven't been able to identify: where these have scalers, etc - can that be bypassed as well? I'd like to shoot for passing 1080p/24 or /48 (currently have my eye on the Optoma HD80). Don't need 90% of the "features" but what can you do about that.

It is my understanding that they can simply pass what they receive or they can scale to a format of your choice. The Onkyo 875, 905 and the Integra DTC 9.8 have what is currently one of the best upconverting chips that can be had.

Two of the three Sony ES models have pages up on their web sites now and the model #s have been turned into links that take you there.

I will probably be looking into an HDMI 1.3 capable pre/pro soon.

Arrghhh.... amazing how one change in your system adds up to so many little pieces!! (mount, HDMI cable, receiver, etc)

I need to run an HDMI cable to my PJ location some day. No real need immediately but the HDMI to DVI adapters on both ends of a DVI cable is far from ideal IMO.

Yep.

I have a DVI run currently that will be replaced. My understanding is that using the HDMI/DVI adapters may cause you to lose WTW and BTB info.

I am sure I have the exact details wrong, but I do know that something is lost compared to having an HDMI run.

BTW... look for a long DVI cable for sale soon! :-)
