Very good stuff. I'll need another listen or three before I decide where it ranks, but this is among Josh Homme's best work.

-edit- Personal preference, but I like the darker sound of "...Like Clockwork" more. "Villains" is much brighter in both tone and sound. Good CD, not their best.

We went to the Judy Collins, Stephen Stills concert last Thursday. I left for four days of golf in the Shenandoahs the next morning so I couldn't report. Stephen still (;)) plays the hell out of all 15 of his guitars, but his voice crackles a bit. Judy, at 78, still has that clear-as-a-bell voice that gave me the chills. The backup band was small, keyboards, drums and bass. The show was in a great old movie theater converted into an arts center in Morristown, NJ. The entire audience looked like Maureen and me, and we spotted at least two walkers. HA! It was a terrific show. Naturally, the last encore was Sweet Judy Blue Eyes!

Haven't had a chance to post for a bit but have been listening to music. So from the past week or so (in no particular order)

I haven't listened to a ton of rap because it's not really my genre. After listening to this, I haven't changed my mind.

Foos have been repeating themselves a lot lately but I will still likely try the new one. What did you think, Chris?

I'll need to listen to it a few more times to really know. It's much different compared to their other albums. But I'm not sure, yet, that I love the direction it's going in. I think it has the chance to really grow on me but it didn't grab me on the first listen.
