Things do change. I remember when Beetlejuice came out it was PG-13, and years later it was on cable on the Family Channel, complete with the whorehouse scene intact.

Yeah, there's a range here for sure where some of these would only be appropriate for older kids due to inappropriate content or just being a little too intense.

I know I point this out every time the subject comes up but there is a movie called Spaced Invaders that is kid friendly and perfect for Halloween. It is a funny movie about aliens staging an invasion on the earth n Halloween so no one takes them seriously and they are mistaken for trick or treaters.

    Always enjoyed this one.

I don’t find Ghostbusters to be a good kid movie, though. There are just two scenes that make me say this:

    1. “I want you inside me”.
    2. Akroyd gets his zipper undone and is apparently pleasured by an apparition of some sort.

    What about Edward Scissorhands?

Honestly I remember nothing about it except that Johnny Depp plays some damn weirdo with scissors for fingers. Is there some questionable content in it for 8-9 year olds?

BTW I did note this caveat. Just chatting.

I don't think there's anything really objectionable in Edward Scissorhands but our standards my vary.

This is like the HT dork equivalent of those beach pics one might see a random hot chick post on Instagram with her feet in it and the sand/ocean in the background. Except instead of barefoot CJ wears blacks socks to cover his Hobbit feet.

That's what I was going for. Like doesn't Corona say "find your beach" or something? This is my beach :)

Should show a bucket of popcorn, in place of the beer.
