I discovered this site and found it very interesting. I still have a box of VHS and Hi-8 tapes, along with a box full of Sony Minidiscs out in the garage, but nothing left to play them on. I sold all my Laserdiscs, but I still have a few CD Video discs. I predict DSD and MQA will soon appear in the obsolete file format section.

I have a few cassettes lying around but can only play them in my oldest car, and have nothing to make new ones on, still have a few dozen VHS tapes, and about a hundred laserdiscs and two players. I had more but was able to sell some. Have trashed a few after skipping the DVD phase and upgrading to blu-ray. I do not consider my LP's to be obsolete!:)

I have my mix tape cassettes, had to get my Nakamichi BX-2 deck serviced to be able to play the. Plan to digitize them soon. I have an old A-D converter have to check if it has a USB out. My Surface only has one USB port.
