I'm one of these nuts who rips all of his music to his phone. This makes it amazingly convenient to listen to, but I found another benefit to doing this. I was shopping at Dearborn Music the other day. While I was there, I came across a table full of unsorted CDs. I found several Maria Muldaur CDs in that random jumble of CDs. I had to use the list of music in my phone because I couldn't remember which ones I did not have. I have over 20 of her albums. I found that there was one of the ones I found that I didn't have. Without all my music on my phone, I could and maybe even would have walked out of there with CDs I already had.

Yeah, I used to have this problem with DVDs. Now I can remote back into my home computer and see what I've got pretty easily. I still wish there was a way to export my "library" from iTunes into a basic format.
