Benefits of Ripping Your Music Collection to Your Dumbphone

    I'm one of these nuts who rips all of his music to his phone. This makes it amazingly convenient to listen to, but I found another benefit to doing this. I was shopping at Dearborn Music the other day. While I was there, I came across a table full of unsorted CDs. I found several Maria Muldaur CDs in that random jumble of CDs. I had to use the list of music in my phone because I couldn't remember which ones I did not have. I have over 20 of her albums. I found that there was one of the ones I found that I didn't have. Without all my music on my phone, I could and maybe even would have walked out of there with CDs I already had.

    Yeah, I used to have this problem with DVDs. Now I can remote back into my home computer and see what I've got pretty easily. I still wish there was a way to export my "library" from iTunes into a basic format.
